K.W. Lem, Ph.D.

Dr. Lem specializes in innovation program management, process improvement and systems modeling. Kwok Wai Lem has a proven track record to provide innovation to manage and revitalize existing programs and in spearheading new programs, incorporating project management phases using stage gate processes to minimize development risk. He is a proven team builder with demonstrated skills and has led cross functional teams to deliver direct results. Capitalizing on his experience and his existing network of colleagues he has been able to build an international cross-functional team to deliver high quality research results.

Dr. Lem’s industrial career spans over 25 years including various positions at Honeywell International Inc. and Canadian industrial experience at Schenectady Chemicals and Canadian Hanson Limited.  Dr. Lem has secured 14 US issued patents & several pending applications covering polymers/composites, microwave processing, nanomaterials, and display materials. He has published and presented over 45 technical papers on materials, quality, process related publications.

Dr. Lem taught atn New Jersey Institute of Technology, Konkuk University (Seoul, Korea), and New York University -POLY. Dr. Lem received his B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science (Chemical Engineering) from University of Toronto, earned a M.S. and Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and earned a M.S. in technology management from Stevens Institute of Technology.  Dr. Lem is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and DFSS Green Belt from Honeywell International.
