CARY A. VEITH, Ph.D., M.B.A.

Cary has over 20 years experience of driving technological innovations for profit across diverse industries ranging from industrial biotechnology, polymers, chemicals (both petrochemicals and specialty chemicals), oil & gas, metals, inks and specialty materials. He has the ability to see the "big strategic picture" and using this vision, collaborates with organizations to suggest strategies for faster, more profitable growth.

He is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Collaborative Executive Solutions, LLC, a consultancy he founded to provide experienced, savvy senior executive management guidance to startups and large, multinational strategics. With this consultancy, he brings together green chemistry and traditional materials industries (like polymers, composites, inks) to help dynamic businesses grow faster.

Prior to CES, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager, BioEnergy, at Pursuit Dynamics, Inc. (PDX), a technology company focused on improving use of natural resources, particularly those used to produce renewable biofuels. Prior to PDX, Cary was Vice President, Research and Development, at Myriant Technologies, LLC, a leading industrial biotechnology developer and manufacturer of renewable biobased chemicals. Cary has also held senior leadership positions at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., Inc, as Vice President, leading its Digital Printing business unit, and at Shell Chemicals Company, as Business Manager for its Engineering Polymer Business. He was the Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Strategy for Titanium Metals Corporation and has been part of startups and entrepreneurial companies for over 10 years.

Cary received his Master Business Administration degree from University of Chicago in 2000, his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1989 and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron in 1980.
